Halliburton

COMPANY

Energy, industrial, and military support conglomerate, founded by Erle P. Halliburton in 1919. Acquired Brown & Root (now Kellogg, Brown and Root) in 1962, acquired Dresser Industries in 1998.

Halliburton, a defense contractor, does business directly with enemies of the United States. Says William Thompson, Comptroller of New York City: "In the case of Halliburton, as an example, they have an offshore subsidiary in the Cayman Islands. That subsidiary is doing business with Iran."
