COMPANY
British defense technology research company, formerly part of the Defence Evaluation and Research Agency, which was privatized in 2001 and split up into QinetiQ and Dstl (Defence Science and Technology Laboratory). American private equity firm Carlyle Group acquired a 33% stake in 2003. QinetiQ was floated on the London Stock Exchange in 2006.
