A young doctor works to undo chaos caused by the theft of a machine allowing therapists to enter their patients' dreams.

The futuristic Foundation for Psychiatric Research's D.C. Mini, a device enabling therapists to enter and record their patients' dreams, is stolen, producing chaos as the crooks enter unsuspecting individuals' minds and wreak havoc. Paprika follows D.C. Mini pioneer Atsuko Chiba, a young woman who'd illegally assisted patients outside the confines of the Foundation's facility with her alter-ego "Paprika", as she works with an investigative team to set out on a trippy journey to recover the device while dodging attacks on her own mind.
