ABSTRACT
Sophie, a young woman living in the United States, makes her trade working as a fact checker for the New Yorker. When she travels to Verona, Italy on honeymoon with fiance and chef Victor and finds herself with large amounts of time alone thanks to her beau's preoccupation with opening a new restaurant, Sophie ends up happening upon an unanswered "letter to Juliet" of Romeo & Juliet fame, embarking on a romantic voyage fit for the movies after she decides to answer the four-decade-plus-old message herself.
