REVIEWS

Review by Joan Litchfield (posted on 11-Jun-2007)

This movie was made at the height of Hollywood's best. Gregory Peck and Greer Garson are perfectly paired. The story, the set design, the actors, all were so well done. I read the book. It's too bad the story didn't go on to show Mary (Greer Garson) and Gregory Peck's (Paul) future. I have a copy of the film and watch it at least 3 to 4 times a year. Really movies at its finest. Jessica Tandy's character was so haughty and mean. Again really well acted. Gladys Cooper's character was so warm and wise, completely the opposite of her role in "Now Voyager."
