Directors: David Daniel; Damon Dash Writers: Brian Ash; Charles Q. Murphy Keywords: Crime, Comedy
REVIEWS Review by babby_d (posted on 22-Feb-2005) Bare joke! I was very skeptical about this movie at first.
- It's a production of Damon Dash's and I hate da fool
- The title makes the film oh so predicable
- I thought it was going to be the usual "shoot em up bang bang, fake gangsta" movie
But fate had her way and I spent what was a boring Friday evening rolling around on my host's floor, screeching like a hyena. Although the film is predictable in certain instances: you have the grown bully (Beanie) the pretty chick that keeps em falling (Stacey Dash- how they're related is a wonder) and the pussy (David Daniels).
The film could not have survived without Daniel's charisma, he manages to be a complete 'dick-ed' while lookin sexy. Dude is hilarious. A funny point to look out for is Memphis Bleek's appearance. He drops hilariously stoopid lyrics while robbing a house... the money is supposed to help him get into the studio and brush up his skills. What's even funnnier is I think the lyrics are actually on one of his albums... At least he doesn't mind being WACK. Ha!
But really this is a cool movie, as most reviewers say "I was pleasantly surprised" I actually brought the DVD (it's a pirate but shush!)
