Awkward geek and video store clerk Matt Franlkin attempts to make a move on his high school crush at a Labor Day party four years after their graduation.

Set in 1988 Los Angeles, MIT graduate-turned-Suncoast Video clerk Matt Franklin experiences a moment of serendipity when high school crush Tori Fredreking walks into the store one day during one of his shifts. Invited to a Labor Day party after successfully convincing her that he has landed a job at Goldman Sachs since they'd last seen each other, he hatches a classic nerd-strikes-way-out-of-his-league plot to win over her affections and desires.
