Eighth entry in the Jesse Stone series of television movies follows the time-worn detective as he jumps back onto the scene to crack another tough case.

Jesse Stone, retired from his illustrious position as Chief of the Paradise Police Force and looking to settle into a private life, accepts an unexpected return to his old job after his replacement perishes in a mysterious auto accident. Arriving on the scene to find evidence of his replacement's corruption and ties to unsavory individuals, Jesse must work to uncover who -- or what -- was behind the "accident" in question before they catch up to him.
