ABSTRACT
Rachel, a well-to-do stay-at-home mother suffering through a sexless marriage in the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles, desires something sexy and ridiculous to spice up her stagnant life. When she ventures out to a strip club and receives a private dance from a vulnerable young woman, however, Rachel becomes obsessed with the idea of saving her, a thought that leads to her adopting the girl -- named McKenna -- as her live-in nanny and learning important lessons about the fragility of human existence and taking one's blessings for granted in the process.
