British comedy examines the operations of a 1960s-era pirate radio station.

Originally released as The Boat That Rocked with extra footage in its country of origin, Pirate Radio tells a fictionalized tale of events surrounding the mid-1960s phenomenon of pirate radio broadcasting, following attempts by a cadre of clandestine British disc jockeys operating out of the North Sea to bring rock music to the masses at a time when government forces desired that classical tunes reign supreme.
