Young Widow (4-Mar-1946)

Director: Edwin L. Marin

Writers: Richard Macaulay; Margaret Buell Wilder; Ruth Nordli

From novel: Young Widow by Clarissa Fairchild Cushman

Musical Score by: Carmen Dragon

Producer: Hunt Stromberg

Keywords: Romantic Drama

A lady journalist whose husband is killed in WWII is unable to get over his death, while another suitor is clearly interested in her. Jane Russell is very pretty but her acting talents are simply not up to this role. Formulaic soap opera financed by Howard Hughes, this film went through three directors: William Deiterle, André de Toth, and finally Edwin L. Marin.
