Film adaptation of the Hunter S. Thompson novel of the same name follows an American journalist as he attempts to adjust to life in Puerto Rico whilst on assignment in the island dependency.

ABSTRACT
Paul Kemp, an author facing significant difficulties selling any of his works, takes a job with a fledgling newspaper in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Falling head over heels for a young woman named Chenault almost immediately after relocating to the tropical island, Kemp must learn to deal with her engagement to a freelance realtor and new potential employer and immense amounts of culture shock at play if he is to survive amidst his new surroundings.
