From novel: Gunman's Chance by Luke Short

Music by: Roy Webb

An old friend asks down-on-his-luck Robert Mitchum for help, while the rest of the town views him as an interloper. After he realizes the true scheming nature of his friend he switches loyalties. Unusual in that much of the action takes place at night. Instead of good and bad, there are gray areas. Excellent noir western.
