Paula McFadden and her daughter are abruptly abandoned by her actor boyfriend Tony, who has sublet their apartment to Elliot, another actor. Tentatively, they agree to share the apartment, but Elliot is a bit weird. Funny romantic comedy and variant of The Odd Couple (1968), also by Neil Simon. Won Oscar for Best Actor; received additional nominations for Best Picture, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Screenplay.
