X-Men: Days of Future Past (10-May-2014)

Director: Bryan Singer

Writers: Jane Goldman; Simon Kinberg; Matthew Vaughn

Keywords: Action/Adventure, Superheroes, 3D

Marvel's mutant superheroes assemble for a cataclysmic showdown against robots bent on exterminating Earth's organic life.

ABSTRACT
Earth of 2023 in the X-Men universe is a dystopian hellscape dominated by self-aware robots, called Sentinels, bent on reigning supreme over the planet by persecuting and exterminating mutants and mortals like. Kitty Pryde's mutant ability to project an individual's consciousness backwards in time proves handy in a big way, as she joins up with a plot led by Magneto to influence Wolverine's past self and prevent events setting the Sentinels' rise into motion from transpiring.
