Sherlock Holmes finds himself back on the scene in London in 1891, investigating a series of seemingly-unrelated crimes that he suspects are all connected to the notorious Professor Moriarty. When Moriarty meets Holmes for the first time at Dr. Watson's wedding to fiancee Mary, he informs him that he will kill the newly-married couple if his schemes continue being interfered with, launching Holmes into a race against time to insulate the city of London and his sidekick from further harm.
