A gunfighter wanders into a Mexican border town already devastated by two feuding families, and plays them against each other. First of Sergio Leone's "The Man with No Name" trilogy, made on a much lower budget than the others. It is essentially a Western version of Akira Kurosawa's Samurai drama Yojimbo (1961). Turned Clint Eastwood into a household name.
