ABSTRACT
Fast-talking, ethically-challenged businessman Fred Claus faces an uncertain future after a scam in the course of aborted plans to open an off-track betting shop leaves him penniless. Left to suffer alone after his girlfriend dumps him, Fred turns to brother Nick -- known to us mortals as the Santa Claus -- for help, making an unlikely trip up to the North Pole after he is asked to help with the Christmas rush in exchange for a badly-needed loan.
