When Eric's love of his life, Patti, a woman he'd met on a train some years after the war, finds out that the Japanese officer responsible for his torture remains alive and well, she faces a personal struggle in which she must decide whether or not a re-engagement with one of his old demons is in his fragile mind's best interests.
