Director: John Sturges

Writer: Tom Mankiewicz

From novel: The Eagle Has Landed by Jack Higgins

Col. Max Radl of the German Army devises a brazen plan to kidnap Winston Churchill as he weekends in a Norfolk village. Among those selected for the mission is Col. Entertaining fiction with a good script, you almost want them to succeed.
