A history of the DEFCON hackers' conference, founded by Jeff Moss aka Dark Tangent and held annually in Las Vegas since 1993. The whole experience: Capture the Flag, lockpicking, the DEFCON Shoot, Spot the Fed, parties, etc. Starting small, in recent years over 10,000 people attend. DEFCON commissioned computer historian Jason Scott to direct, but this is no whitewash.
