BBC political thriller follows a career intelligence officer's struggle with the politically-explosive contents of a file brought to his attention.

Johnny Worricker, a career officer for the United Kingdom's MI5 intelligence agency, finds himself in the possession of a file containing damaging details concerning alleged American torture of prisoners of war following the sudden death of boss and confidant Benedict Baron. Forced to leave his job upon realizing that the contents of the file could jeopardize the continued existence of his employer, Johnny utilizes a newfound connection with attractive political activist and next-door neighbor Nancy Pierpan to leave his old life behind and investigate the alleged war crimes of his countrymen and their allies.
