A Japanese girl suffering through a spell of turmoil in her family travels to a spirit world inhabited by an assortment of curious creatures.

ABSTRACT
Chihiro Ogino, a ten-year old Japanese girl upset with her family's impending move to the suburbs, happens upon a curious one-way road leading to an abandoned amusement park and restaurant when her father makes a wrong turn in transit to their new place of residence. Enticed by the delicious food inside the stall and lack of staff, Chihiro's parents begin to feast like pigs, only to find themselves turned into literal pigs when Chihiro fails to cross back into the mortal world before sunset. Now Chihiro must complete a number of peculiar tasks if she is to stand a chance of reuniting with her parents in the "real" world.
