Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 1 (25-Sep-2012)

Director: Jay Oliva

Writer: Bob Goodman

From comic book by: Frank Miller

Keywords: Action/Adventure, Batman, Superheroes

Animated adaptation of the comic book series of the same name follows an aging, semi-retired Bruce Wayne as he returns to his craft for the apparent good of Gotham City.

ABSTRACT
Based on the Batman character created by Bob Kane. Bruce Wayne, now fifty-five years old and in the tenth year of a forced retirement from his Batman alter-ego following the death of Jason Todd, returns to his old life despite the advice of his contemporaries following Harvey Dent's release from prison and subsequent crime spree throughout Gotham City. Though he initially succeeds at fighting back against a host of nefarious incidents in the metropolis, he soon begins to struggle with nagging physical limitations brought about by his advancing age, setting the stage for a peculiar battle with demons both internal and external as the general public begins to view his comeback with a measure of skepticism.
