Expecting nothing, I got everything. A well written character study supurbly performed by an exceptional ensemble cast. Travolta is staggering. There's a scene where he's dancing in a bar and I was struck with the metamorphasis from Sat. Night Fever to Bobby Long. Johansson brings a wonderfully controlled tension to a complex character. She continues to solidify as one of our finest young actors. But forget the BS. This is what storytelling is about. If you're looking for a bit more than the usual, this is worth the time and a few bucks.
