Fresh out of the Army, a struggling young man embarks on a wild journey after taking a job as a bartender in New York City.

Brian Flanagan, a clean-cut, handsome young man with dreams of prestige, moves to New York City upon leaving the Army and attempts to get an office job, ultimately taking a part-time job as a bartender when potential employers' desires for a college degree lands him in business school. Taken under the wing of mentor and boss Douglas Coughlin, Brian learns to live and love through the art of bartending, dealing with personal troubles and an attempted courtship of love interest Jordan Mooney as he plots a shot to stardom.
