Steve McQueen is Frank Bullitt, assigned at the behest of District Attorney Chalmers to protect the star witness in a case against the mob. After the informant is killed, Bullitt is determined to find the culprit, despite heavy political interference from Chalmers. Excellent police thriller with legendary car-chase scene. Won Oscar for Best Editing and received a nomination for Best Sound.
