A couple's desire to get married is continuously tested when a series of events forces them to keep postponing their wedding date.

Tom Solomon and Violet Barnes, a happy couple living in San Francisco, decide to get engaged to be married after a year's worth of dating. Their plans to wed, however, are postponed by a series of poorly-timed events ranging from a Michigan-based job offer for Violet to the untimely death of their grandparents, testing their mettle as a couple as they continue to accommodate for unforeseen circumstances and move their expected wedding date further and further into the future.
