Film adaptation of the 2012 novel of the same name follows a man as he is made a suspect in the inexplicable disappearance of his wife.

ABSTRACT
Nick Dunne, a man about to celebrate the fifth anniversary of his wedding, comes home to find wife Amy missing without a trace. He is unable to explain her disappearance to authorities; his vague and difficult answers are interpreted as indicating that he has something to hide. In reality, Amy went on the run, changing her identity and appearance in an attempt to get back at Nick for his infidelity by framing him for murder; Nick must fight to uncover the conspiracy against him as questions mount, an ensuing media circus fingers him as a killer, and Amy remains missing.
