Grease (7-Jul-1978)

Director: Randal Kleiser

Writers: BrontÚ Woodard; Allan Carr

From a play: Grease by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey

Producers: Robert Stigwood; Allan Carr

Keywords: Musical, Romantic Comedy, High School, Cheerleaders, Rock and Roll

Danny and Sandy have a 1950s summer romance, which they expected to end when Sandy's family returned to Australia. Her family stayed in America; now they are both seniors at Rydell High School in their respective social groups -- Danny a greaser and leader of the T-Birds and Sandy a prospective member of The Pink Ladies. And while he was such a nice guy during the summer, as a greaser Danny must maintain a bad-boy fašade. Entertaining musical with catchy songs and outstanding choreography; one must overlook the fact that the cast is much too old for high school.
