ABSTRACT
Remake of The Karate Kid (1984). After receiving a promising transfer at her job, single mother Sherry Parker and 12-year old son Dre pack their bags and relocate from Detroit to Beijing. Thrust face-first into an unfamiliar society, Dre's struggles with culture shock and young love ultimately lead him to Mr. Han, a maintenance man and kung fu master who agrees to teach him the ways of his martial art for his own self-defense.
