ABSTRACT
Cody Maverick is a rebellious young penguin living in Antarctica, harboring dreams of becoming a renowned surfer that are viewed with disdain and skepticism by his brethren. Unmoved by their persistent doubts, Cody heads to the comparatively alien land of Pen Gu Island to compete in the Big Z Memorial Surf-Off, learning a number of important life lessons as he attempts to topple reigning champion Tank Evans and befriends former surfer Geek after suffering a major setback.
