A young woman institutionalized by her negligent stepfather envisions a plan to escape from her confines.

ABSTRACT
Babydoll, a 20-year old woman living in 1950s-era America, is sent to live at the Lennox House for the Mentally Insane and ordered to be lobotomized after her abusive stepfather blames her for the death of her younger sister. Upon having the brain-smashing procedure performed, she drifts off into a fantasy existence populated by mobsters, brothel workers, and samurai warriors, envisioning herself as a young fighter who must complete a series of difficult tasks to win her escape from her undesirable surroundings.
