An Allied platoon go beyond the limits of reason to execute a devastating strike against the Nazis towards the close of World War II.

ABSTRACT
Don "Wardaddy" Collier is the commander of a five-man Allied platoon together since the earliest days of American involvement in World War II, obsessed with his crew's success and the total defeat of the much-reviled Nazis. The death of their second driver leads to the arrival of Norman Ellison, a meek young recruit ill-suited to the horrors of war; though Wardaddy and company succeed at breaking him in, they are unexpectedly forced to go above and beyond their call of duty when a devastating ambush leaves them to face several hundred SS troops deep inside enemy territory.
