A rebel infiltrates the royal court by impersonating the court jester, as part of an elaborate plan to depose the usurper in favor of the rightful heir. The court intrigues are thick and the plot delightfully complicated. Danny Kaye is perfect in the title role and Angela Lansbury is absolutely radiant. One of the funniest films ever made.
