Latin Lovers (12-Aug-1953)

Director: Mervyn LeRoy

Writer: Isobel Lennart

Music by: Nicholas Brodszky

Producer: Joe Pasternak

Keywords: Romantic Comedy

Lana Turner is Nora Taylor, net assets $37M, engaged to John Lund as Paul Chevron, net assets $48M but a bit of a cold fish. Taylor is concerned that men are only interested in her for her money; on a trip to Brazil she meets Ricardo Montalban as Roberto Santos, dashing plantation owner, net assets undetermined but likely substantial. Somehow she must prove to herself that Santos is interested in her, not her money. Beautifully filmed romantic trifle, still a lot of fun.
