Medieval action film follows a peasant's quest to masquerade as a knight following the death of his master.

ABSTRACT
Loosely, loosely inspired by an entry in Geoffrey Chaucer's Canterbury Tales, A Knight's Tale regales viewers with the story of William Thatcher, a young peasant squire enamored with and quite skillful at the art of jousting in 14th-century Europe. Driven by a desire for glory and a better standard of living for himself, Thatcher usurps the identity of recently-deceased master Sir Ector to take part in a jousting tournament restricted to noblemen, ultimately prevailing in his first match and heading out on a wild journey towards living as an impostor of a knight with the help of a wide variety of acquaintances including a fictionalized version of Chaucer himself.
