James Bond investigates the killings of three British spies, in Harlem, New Orleans, and the Caribbean. They are all linked to a heroin ring led by a Mr. Big and Dr. Kananga. Roger Moore's first outing as Bond, with some 1970s blaxploitation mixed in. Yaphet Kotto makes a worthy villain. Paul and Linda McCartney received an Oscar nomination for Best Original Song; the overall score also received Grammy nomination.
