Three egalitarian German activists inadvertently kidnap a wealthy businessman after breaking into his mansion.

Jule, a Berlin college student forced to vacate her flat when an accident with a limousine leaves her penniless, moves in with boyfriend Peter and roommate Jan. Jan and Peter are activists who break into vacant mansions belonging to members of Germany's monied elite, eschewing the theft of property in favor of leaving messages opposed to their targets' wealth and implicit greed. Jule compels her new roommates to visit the home of the limousine's owner, an industrialist named Hardenberg; when Hardenberg is unexpectedly present after they infiltrate his mansion, the trio are forced to take him hostage, his destiny in their hands as they set about making a grand statement.
