REVIEWS Review by Ariadel (posted on 27-Mar-2005) This is one of the most romantic movies I have ever seen, a cinematic version of one of the most romantic stories of all time. The filming is just beautiful, the story is heart-breaking, the sceneries are gorgeous, Tony Leung is so sexy. I have some reservations about the casting of Jane March, who seems just too clumsy for the role, I am not sure Marguerite Duras as a young girl would have liked to be depicted in such a way, but at any rate, she seemed to have hated the movie so much that she wrote yet another version of The Lover, which only adds to the complexity of the story.
