Two boys from New York passing through small town Alabama find themselves accused of murder and possibly face the death penalty; luckily one of them has a cousin, Vinny, who just became a lawyer. Fred Gwynne is the memorable Judge Chamberlain Haller, hard-nosed but fair, in one of the last roles of his career. Smart and funny comedy. Marisa Tomei won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.
