Mrs. Doubtfire (24-Nov-1993)

Director: Chris Columbus

Writers: Randi Mayem Singer; Leslie Dixon

From novel: Alias Madame Doubtfire by Anne Fine

Music by: Howard Shore

Producers: Marsha Garces WIlliams; Robin Williams; Mark Radcliffe

Keywords: Comedy, Divorce, Child Custody Battle, Crossdressing, San Francisco

After Miranda divorces voice actor Daniel Hillard, a family court awards her full custody of their three children with only once-a-week visitation for Daniel. The love for his children great, Daniel disguises himself as elderly Scottish nanny Euphegenia Doubtfire, hired to provide day care for the children. While overall still funny, film is overly sentimental and its predictable humor is not aging well. Won Oscar for Best Makeup.
