Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (2-May-1997)

Director: Jay Roach

Writer: Mike Myers

Music: George S. Clinton

Producers: Demi Moore; Mike Myers; Jennifer Todd; Suzanne Todd

Keywords: Comedy, Espionage

After Dr. Evil's 1967 escape into space, Austin Powers is cryogenically frozen; upon the return of his arch-nemesis to Earth in the 1990s, British Intelligence defrosts Powers as Dr. Evil holds the world ransom. The Man of Mystery has some trouble adjusting to the new times; Dr. Evil is surprised to find he has a disobedient son. Very funny and well-crafted spoof of the 007 films, sometimes deliberately paining the viewer by having scenes last far too long.
