An amnesia-stricken American diplomat operating out of Mexico City finds herself saved after a night of drinking by a mariachi singer who's visa she'd recently rejected.

Rachel, a jet-setting American diplomat presently operating out of Mexico City with a view to relocating to London, passes out on a city street in the bustling Mexican metropolis following a night of hard drinking just before her scheduled goodbye party. Rescued by a dashing Mariachi singer named Alejandro, Rachel's post-blackout amnesia leads her to forget the fact that she'd rejected his particular request for a visa the day before, an incident that threatens to surface and damage their connection as the pair strike up an unlikely romance.
