REVIEWS Review by Sam Wilson (posted on 1-Oct-2005) Tennesse Williams' pre-flood New Orleans tale of a fallen flower and the brother-in-law who rips away her illusions of gentility, sending her into madness.
This movie is the real thing, jazzy, over-the top, brilliant on so many levels. Brando is all no-nonsense brute, serving the audience a virtuoso performance of stunning genius. Brando changed film acting forever with this performance. Co-star Vivien Leigh matches him line for line, breath for breath. See this before you die. MOVIE: ****, BRANDO: ****
