Zero Dark Thirty (19-Dec-2012)

Director: Kathryn Bigelow

Writer: Mark Boal

Keywords: Thriller, Terrorism, Espionage, Assassination, Pakistan, Explosions

Dramatization of the CIA's ten-year search for Osama bin Laden, up to and including the Seal Team 6 raid on the Al Qaeda compound in Abbottabad. Much of the film is unpaced and erratic, intended to reflect reality. Comprising the tail end of the film, the raid scenes offer a highly realistic, action-filled depiction of the operation in Pakistan. Won an Academy Award for Best Sound Editing; nominated for Best Picture, Best Actress, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Film Editing.
