Abbott and Costello in Hollywood (5-Oct-1945)

Director: S. Sylvan Simon

Writers: Nat Perrin; Lou Breslow; Martin A. Gosch

Musical Direction: George Bassman

Producer: Martin A. Gosch

Keywords: Comedy

Barbers Bud Abbott and Lou Costello try their hand at being Hollywood agents, promoting their friend who is a talented singer. Nicely paced with some zany gags but a relatively weak story; best viewed if one is already a fan. Cameos from some third-tier stars only (at this point Lucille Ball fell into this category.) Abbott and Costello's final MGM production, the comedy duo on loan from Universal for three films.
