In Nazi-occupied Bohemia, Milos Hrma's attempt to lose his virginity with his girlfriend does not go well; his physician recommends finding an older woman to provide this special type of instruction. Milos is employed as a apprentice train watcher, his supervisor is an incorrigible womanizer. And he sees sexual imagery in everyday objects, which does not help. Won the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film.
