A political operative with a messy relationship history attempts to explain his love life to his young daughter.

ABSTRACT
Will Hayes, handsome political consultant and hopeless romantic on the cusp of a divorce from his unhappy wife, is caught off-guard when young daughter Maya questions him about his life leading up to marriage with his mother. What follows is a frame narrative told by a somewhat-wizened thirty-something man of an idealistic "young gun" thrust into the realities of big-city Democratic machine politics working on Bill Clinton's presidential campaign in 1992, a yarn dovetailing with his romantic misadventures with an assortment of ladies.
