REVIEWS

Review by Hans (posted on 24-Jul-2009)

My favorite movie of all time, Around the World in Eighty Days has everything one could ask for in a movie. A wonderful plot, excellent acting, romance, adventure, live locations literally around the world, and superb dialog. This movie was crafted when films were made to entertain discriminating people. Each actor (and there are dozens!) performs flawlessly to weave a charming tale of a man challenged by a bet to circumnavigate the world in 80 days or loose twenty thousand pounds. Set in the 1800s the trip has one totally entranced, and the end is completely unexpected. I cannot recommend the film enough, it is a first class effort and won an Academy Award for best movie when it came out. Do watch it, you will not be disappointed.
